PASTOR CJ RANSDELL:

Pastor CJ was born on August 28, 1978 in Yonkers, New York. He attended elementary and secondary school in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Indiana. CJ went to Michigan State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2000. While at Michigan State, CJ was involved in the campus ministry of Martin Luther Chapel. After graduation CJ attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. CJ did his vicarage at St. John’s Lutheran church in Yankton, South Dakota. CJ earned his Masters of Divinity degree in 2005. That same year he was ordained and accepted his first call at Our Father Lutheran Church in Centennial, CO. CJ served as Associate Pastor from 2005 until 2010. CJ is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry degree in the Congregational Mission and Leadership program at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He hopes to complete that degree in 2013. CJ met Mindy while attending Michigan State and they were married in 1999. Mindy grew up in Grand Blanc, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In March of 2008 Mindy earned an Associate’s Degree in graphic design from the Art Institute. Mindy loves to create and has an eye for design. Their son David will be nine in October. He enjoys playing video games and doing sports. David wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. He has a green belt in Karate and is looking forward to starting the third grade. Emily will be five in July. She loves to draw and paint. Emily wants to be an artist when she grows up. She is looking forward to starting kindergarten. Isaac will be two in August. He loves to explore his world and to do the same things that he sees his older brother and sister do. Isaac has a great laugh. He is looking forward to getting a puppy. The Ransdells are excited to come to Port Huron. They are grateful that God has called them to serve at Faith. They are looking forward to sharing life with and doing ministry alongside of God’s people at Faith Lutheran Church.
